adam's slouch
is clouded
by sorrow.
divers tears
cascades,
dampens the bed sheets
leaving a pool of regret.
his palm flush on the window
a crystal ball conjure
kids full of smiles
laughter
wrestling in the park...
another reverie surfaces:
him sweating beneath
the woman that dons
his last name.
by a lapse in reunions
he continue daydreaming
until time smears
everything he never found love in.
tears blur his eyes
as rain blues his barred window.
